Getting Easting, Sailing Offshore from New Orleans to St. Petersburg S1E1

This is the first vlog of the 2016 season for sailing author and Slow Boat Sailing Podcast host, Linus Wilson, on his family’s Island Packet 31′. This season the Slow Boat sails 2,700 nautical miles to Cuba, Transits the Panama Canal, and across the equator to the South Pacific. In episode 1, Linus and a new crew member Stevie sail out of the Slow Boat’s home port of New Orleans. After battling headwinds and a nasty fall in Pensacola, they do a 2-day offshore passage to St. Petersburg, Florida.
